THE
BRADFIELD
Downer, ACT
dsb were originally engaged to work alongside AMC Architecture to develop a master plan concept for the site which was to include the staged construction of 160 residential dwellings across 6 buildings. The project required extensive community and government consultation throughout this phase in order to meet the Heritage requirements of this site.
The master plan had to provide an extensive and highly aesthetic landscaped setting that included the preservation / staged replacement of a number of Heritage Trees. This included vegetation assessment documentation and consultation with Heritage Council in order for the development to gain approval.
The landscape design provides extensive gardens throughout, formal paved areas and pedestrian links, and communal gathering areas for residents and their guests.
